Sébastien Preschoux

I’ve always loved art which works to encourage the extreme geometry of nature, Sébastien Preschoux does just that.  Carefully winding spools of colored string through sticks and bracken, Preschoux’s pieces highlight the relationship between a limbs distance from the ground to the surrounding environment with dozens of carefully angled threads working like a surveyors laser to decipher the ratios from branch to a single stem or fallen petal.  Really gorgeous how the solid colors and direct angles work to reveal amongst an organic environment how math is a hidden king.
