Magnets AND flowers, what goes better together?  This ingenious vase places a globe with a magnetic bottom on top of an oppositely charged magnetic base.

Designed by Min Seok Song, as the water is absorbed by the plant and leaves the vase the lighter ball begins to levitate as the magnets push away from one another.

I love the idea, but how long do flowers in a vase last?  Long enough to require two waterings?  And wouldn’t the flowers tilted to a side off kilter the globe?  Perhaps the attaching cord at the base of the vase is actually a solid column so it can only move up or down?  Still, pretty cool.
